REVAMPING OF NADOR ROLLING MILL
The Nador site has committed hefty investments for the modernization and upgrading of its production tool geared to develop competitiveness and profitability.
The year 2004 industrial projects were marked by bringing into fruition of a revamping program for the Nador rolling mill. This 33 MDh outlay made it possible to boost the rated capacity of the mill to an additional 50 000 Tons reaching 600 000 Tons per year. The Nador rolling mill can currently use larger section billets (140*140) thereby allowing it to increase capacity and considerably raise yield.
This program is organized into two phases:
-Preparation of the rolling mill for use of the billet now produced at the Jorf Lasfar steel works. Upon completion of this phase, the Nador rolling mill will be provided with a tool of higher performance and larger output capacity. - Upgrading of automatic operation and instrumentation of the rolling mill
